Christmas is that one holiday where everybody makes fudge. There are so many flavors to choose from and we find ourselves picking something different every year. But this Classic Easy Peanut Butter Fudge is the recipe that our Great Grandmother always served on Christmas Eve. It is so creamy and peanut buttery and delicious.  And did we mention how easy it is to make?  No candy thermometer required and perfect every time you make it.  Happy Holidays from our family to yours!

Ingredients You Will Need

All the ingredients you will need to make Easy Peanut Butter Fudge including Peanut Butter, Powdered Sugar, Butter and Vanilla Extract.

How to Make the Homemade Candy

Step 1: Place the butter and the peanut butter in a medium saucepan on medium heat.
Steps 2-3: Stir as the peanut butter and the butter combine and melt together.
Step 4: Bring the peanut mixture to a boil and then allow it to boil for 1 minute. Take the pan off the heat.

Step 5: Add the Vanilla Extract.
Step 6: Mix until combined.
Step 7: Add the Powdered Sugar.
Step 8: Mix until thoroughly combined.

Step 9: Butter an 8×8″ baking pan and pour the peanut butter fudge mixture into the pan.
Step 10: Press the fudge down into the pan.
Step 11: Working quickly, use the back of a spoon or an offset spatula to spread the mixture out to the edge of the pan.
Step 12: Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until fully set (2-3 hours or overnight.)

Storage/Serving Instructions

Step 13:  Remove from the refrigerator and cut into individual pieces. Store in the refrigerator in an air-tight container but we think Fudge tastes best served at room temperature. It should only take about an hour for the fudge to come back up to room temperature.

  • 1 heaping cup Peanut Butter (Creamy)
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 3 1/2 cups Powdered Sugar

Instructions

  1. Place the butter and the peanut butter in a medium saucepan on medium heat.
  2. Stir as the peanut butter and the butter combine and melt together.
  3. Bring the peanut mixture to a boil and then allow it to boil for 1 minute. Take the pan off the heat.
  4. Add the Vanilla Extract.
  5. Mix until combined.
  6. Add the Powdered Sugar.
  7. Mix until thoroughly combined.
  8. Butter an 8×8″ baking pan and pour the peanut butter fudge mixture into the pan.
  9. Press the fudge down into the pan.
