Christmas Peanut Clusters remind us of our mom. She made them every year for Christmas and we think she is the only one who ate them back them.  Now that we are adults we too appreciate the sweet and salty, chocolately and peanuty goodness of this classic holiday homemade candy.  As always, Mom was right!

Ingredients You Will Need

All the ingredients you will need to make Chocolate Peanut Clusters including Honey Roasted Peanuts, Chocolate Chips, Peanut Butter and Shortening.

Peanut Clusters are super easy to make – only four ingredients and a few minutes are needed to make a tasty Christmas candy: Peanuts, Chocolate Chips, shortening, and our secret ingredient, Peanut Butter. 

How to Make

Step 1: Add the peanut butter, shortening, and 1 3/4 cups of Chocolate Chip in a microwave-safe bowl. Reserve 1/4 cup of Chocolate Chips for later.
Step 2: Microwave the chocolate chips for 50-60 seconds, take out the bowl, and stir the mixture until smooth.
Step 3: Now add 1/4 cup of reserved chocolate chips.  This will help cool down the chocolate mixture.  Mix until smooth, if it is not yet smooth, heat for 5 seconds in the microwave and stir again. Repeat this process in 5-second intervals until the chocolate mixture is smooth.

Step 4: Add the peanuts to the bowl of melted chocolate.  We used Roasted Peanuts but you could use non-roasted or Honey Roasted.
Step 5: Mix thoroughly until the peanuts are completely covered in chocolate.

Step 6: Use a small scoop or a 1/4 cup measuring cup to create the individual Peanut Clusters.
Step 7: Drop them on a parchment-lined cookie sheet.
Step 8: Top with Christmas Sprinkles and allow to cool and harden.  Store these yummy Christmas Peanut Clusters in an airtight container. Chock full of Peanuts and delicious chocolate with just a hint of peanut butter flavor. So yummy and so easy to make!

  • 1/4 cup Peanut Butter
  • 2 tablespoon Shortening
  • 2 cups Honey Roasted Peanuts
  • Christmas Sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Add peanut butter, shortening and 1 3/4 cups of Chocolate Chip in a microwave safe bowl. (Reserve 1/4 cup of Chocolate Chips for later.)
